He is accused him of stealing Ksh 23.5 million he had been entrusted with by the congregant to finance smooth operations of the ‘Lord’s Sanctuary’.

It is alleged that on diverse dates between November 2019 and August 2021, stole Ksh 23,558,625 from the Church.

Reports indicate that Word of Life Centre Church and Ministries entrusted Pastor Daniel Munalo with the said funds to run operations and purchase of land only for the ‘Lord’s’ servant to convert the funds to private use.

His advocate pleaded with the court to release him on lenient bond terms, told Magistrate Dolphina Alego that the accused is a very senior pastor of the church who has never stepped in a court before.

The Court released him on Sh 10m bond with an alternative cash bail of Sh 2 million.

The case will proceed on March 27, 2025.
