Body by Design Directors to Appear in Court for Manslaughter Charges

Directors of Body by Design George Njoroge and Lilian Wanjiru have been directed to appear before the Kibera Law Courts tomorrow morning to answer to Manslaughter charges.

They are expected to be charged alongside Dr Robert Mutula who performed the botched surgery that caused the death of Lucy Wambui.

However, through their lawyer Danstan Omari, the directors informed court that they have challenged the charges before the high court to stop the prosecution.

The prosecution asked the court to issue warrants of arrests against the two but the court instead issued them with summons.

The case will be mentioned on Wednesday before the court for plea taking on the same day that the high court is expected to issue directions in the file.
