A few weeks back, the state had asked the court not to grant him bail claiming that he had threatened the witness by sending him a picture of him holding a gun.

The accused was previously alleged to have threatened Gentil by sending photos of his wife and seven-year-old daughter, warning of harm if the case proceeded.

During his initial court appearance, lead investigator Sergeant Thomas Othoo requested Lamarca’s detention throughout the trial, citing him as a national security threat and a danger to witnesses.

Investigators presented serious allegations against Lamarca, including posing with high-caliber pistols and sophisticated firearms, which he allegedly sent as threats to witnesses.

Sources from a highly placed source have now revealed that Didier Guillaume Gentil is admitted in the High Dependency Unit (HDU) of an undisclosed hospital.

According to the source, it is feared that Gentil might have been drugged in Dubai in relation to the same matter at hand so that he does not testify.

Exclusive photos obtained by Court Helicopter from the source show Gentil lying in hospital getting treatment.

In the case, it is alleged that Lamarca had reportedly promised to facilitate the transportation of 550 kilograms of undisclosed high-value cargo from Kenya to Dubai—a deal that never materialized.

Authorities claim that during his arrest, Lamarca was found in possession of two pistols, over 90 rounds of ammunition, multiple gun magazines, and forged mineral dealership certificates at his residences in Kileleshwa and Nanyuki Conservancy.

The ongoing case is linked to a broader criminal network involving drug trafficking, kidnapping, violent robbery, extortion, and money laundering, with Lamarca suspected of being the gang’s ringleader.
