Two women who are employees of Bank of Africa were on Friday arraigned in court for allegedly defrauding Bank of Africa (Kenya) limited over Ksh 7 million.
Judy Wambui Maina and Winnie Njeri Gitau appeared before Chief Magistrate Lucas Onyina where it was alleged that the two on diverse dates between December 6, 2023, and November 7, 2024, conspired to defraud Bank of Africa Limited Sh 7,285,985.
Judy Wambui Maina was separately charged with stealing by servant where it is alleged that on the said dates, being an employee of Bank of Africa as portfolio quality management officer stole Ksh 7.2M which came into his possession by virtue of her employment.
They denied the charges and were released on Sh 2m bond with an alternative cash bail of Sh 1m.
