A Nairobi court has ruled that Former Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko has case to answer in Sh 20 M fraud case and has been put on his defense.
The Court ruled that the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) has tendered sufficient evidence to warrant Sonko and two other co-accused persons to be put in their defence.
Sonko, Anthony Otieno Ombok and ROG Security Limited will now defend themselves in relation to Sh 20M alleged fraud from a supplier in order to facilitate payments for work done at the Nairobi County when he was the governor.
The Defence hearing will commence on 15th May 2025.
