Former Kakamega Governor Wycliffe Oparanya and his two wives are currently being grilled at the EACC for alleged misappropriation of public funds.
Oparanya has been with detectives for the better part of the day and it’s not clear whether they are under arrest or not.
Oparanya son is also said to be at the EACC being grilled by detectives
Lawyer Danstan Omari says they have not been able to see Oparanya or any of his family members
Azimio principal Martha Karua is also at the commission offices to offer her support and legal services to him.
They told the media that for over two hours they have been waiting to see the former Governor to no avail and upto now they don’t know where he is.
Karua has castigated the state saying this regime is worse than Moi regime with what they were doing to people.
Other Azimio leaders present include Minority leader Opiyo Wandayi, MP Babu Owino, Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna and Jubilee SGJeremiah Kioni.
