In a dramatic turn in the murder investigation of Kasipul Member of Parliament Charles Ong’ondo Were, businessman and political figure Philip Aroko has been released and will now testify as a state witness.
Aroko, who was previously arrested and treated as a prime suspect in the high-profile case, was freed after a review of evidence by the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) cleared him of direct involvement.
