A building that was widely reported to be a morgue where Pastor Ezekiel Odero dumped bodies of his followers is only a safe house for power control and not a mortuary.
This emerged Monday as the Ad Hoc senate committee toured New Life Prayer Centre and church in Mavueni where they were shown the said control room.
The committee in on a tour of the facility after getting an invite from the pastor for them to see what they do at the church.
Odero has complained that he was being persecute unheard because none of the leaders had gone to the ground to ascertain the allegations that were being peddled in both mainstream and social media.
Odero appeared before the senate on Friday last week where he testified and distanced himself from the Shakahola deaths saying he has never visited the place and only met Paul Mackenzie once.
