The Senate Ad hoc committee investigating Shakahola massacre is expected to visit Pastor Ezekiel Odero’s New Life Prayer Center and church in Mavueni today following an invite by the pastor.
Odero was before the senate committee on Friday last week and extended an invite to the senators to go and see for themselves what the church does.
The senators are expected to the arrive in Mavueni at 8.30 a.m. and will be received by the church leadership and Odero’s legal team led by Lawyers Danstan Omari and Cliff Ombeta.
They will then be taken around the Mavueni church premises to see the projects that are ongoing at the facility.
Then the committee will then meet with the church leaders at the boardroom to get their views and ask any questions on what they saw during the tour.
Later in the afternoon, the Adhoc committee and the church leaders will then give an overview of their findings.
the program is expected to end at around 4.30 p.m. when the senators will retreat back to Nairobi to write their report on the overall investigations into the Shakahola massacre.
