Eric Mutinda to Spend More Time in Remand as Court Sets Another Mention For Bail Application.

MMU student Eric Mutinda who was charged with the brutal murder of Sylvia Kemunto will spend more time in remand prison as he awaits his bail application to be heard.

The murder case was mentioned yesterday virtually before Justice Diana Kavedza for directions and the court heard from his lawyer that the bail application had not been served to the other parties.

Mutinda’s lawyer told court that he had challenged with the portal but will serve the prosecution and the victims family with the application today

The Prosecution and victim’s family were each granted seven days to file and serve their submissions to the bail and bond Application by Mutinda.

Mutinda will file and serve his submissions within seven days of service.

The case will be mentioned on June 27 2025 for further directions.
