A man who is alleged to have disappeared and withheld funds sent to him erroneously through Mpesa by an unknown person was on Thursday charged retaining the money not meant for him.
Isaac Atinda Oremo appeared before Magistrate Robinson Ondieki and denied the offenses leveled against him.
It is alleged that’s Oremo deliberately retained Sh 137,000 that was erroneously transferred to his mobile money account on August 4, 202 funds which were not rightfully his.
He pleaded not guilty to the charges pleaded with the court to release him on reasonable bail terms.
He was released on a cash bail of Sh 50,000.
