A woman appeared before the Milimani Law Courts on Monday to face charges of “Stealing by Servant” after allegedly siphoning more than KSh 1.6 million from her employer over an eight-month period.

Carolyne Kalekye Ndambuki is accused of stealing KSh 1,663,550 while employed by Faalsha Holdings Limited. According to the charge sheet, the missing funds were receivable rents collected at Unique Supplies Limited in the Kariokor area of Nairobi.

The prosecution alleges that the thefts occurred on diverse dates between October 1, 2024, and June 12, 2025. Authorities state that Ndambuki, by virtue of her position as a servant of the company, came into possession of the rent money but failed to remit it to her employer.
The police file further indicates that the accused did not act alone, noting she was “jointly with others not before court.”

The legal process moved swiftly following the suspect’s arrest on Friday, January 23, 2026.
The court was briefed on the particulars of the offence under Section 281 of the Penal Code.

Despite the significant amount involved, the court granted Ndambuki a release on a bail of KSh 300,000 after she entered a plea of not guilty.
