According to the charge sheet, the ordeal began around 9:30 AM when the group, allegedly armed with rungus (wooden clubs), cornered a woman identified as Margaret Kimani. The suspects are accused of Robbery with Violence after reportedly stealing her Oppo mobile phone and threatening her with “actual violence.”

Further disturbing details emerged in Count II, where five of the male suspects are accused of committing an indecent act. The court heard that the men intentionally and forcibly touched the victim against her will, a violation of the Sexual Offences Act.

The gang’s focus then allegedly turned to the school’s infrastructure. Prosecutors stated that the suspects broke into the Headteacher’s office, leading to a charge of Office Breaking. Once inside, they reportedly carried out a coordinated theft of school equipment valued at Ksh 129,000.

The stolen items listed in the charge sheet include: Two laptops (HP and Lenovo),A Total gas cylinder and a Mika microwave, Industrial tools: Three wheelbarrows, five spades, and five pairs of gumboots

The group didn’t stop at property theft. The charge sheet details a series of physical attacks against bystanders or staff members. Two additional counts of Assault Causing Actual Bodily Harm were filed after the suspects allegedly beat Steven Ochieng Migolo and Bernard Munyolo Mmbaka during the incident.

Court granted them a cashbail of 30,000 each after pleading not guilty.
