It is alleged that on April 1, the two, along Biashara Street in Nairobi, broke into the second floor of Hison Plaza at Quebec Gaming Lounge and stole from Antony Mwendwa Kinoti.

They allegedly took nine PlayStation 5 consoles, two PlayStation 4 consoles, 20 PlayStation controllers, and 35 gaming discs.

They denied the charge before Magistrate Thomas Ondieki and, through their lawyer, asked the court to grant them reasonable bail, citing their young families who depend on them.

However, Lawyer Danstan Omari, who was representing Kinoti, made an application asking the court to order the two to briefly remove their face masks for public identification.

Even though the defense opposed Omari’s application initially, they later relented and agreed that the two could briefly remove their masks for identification before putting them back on.

The case was adjourned to Monday, when Omari and his team will file an affidavit opposing bail and to give the prosecution more time to file their application.”
