City Lawyer Danstan Omari has slapped Meru Governor Kawira Mwangaza with a Sh 4.6 Million costs in legal fees for representing her in the impeachment case last year.
In the taxation filed at the Meru High court, Omari wants the Governor to pay him the fees for services rendered to her during her impeachment motion at the county assembly.
Omari represented Kawira in October last year at the county assembly in Meru.
According to the taxation, instructions to represent the Governor in the impeachment is capped at Sh 4M, conducting extensive research is Sh 500,000 and perusing the impeachment motion is Sh 100,000.
Court papers further say that the advocates client bill of costs filed by Omari will be taxed on May 23 this year and if Kawira does not have representation it will be done in her absence.
