Robert Clark Budi who was crowned Mr Kenya in 2018 was on Wednesday arrested alongside his wife at the Milimani law courts for allegedly mistreating and assaulting their seven-year-old daughter.
Budi and his wife Wendy Kimingi were both arrested outside Milimani Law court as they left the family division for a civil matter.
Police claim that the couple has been subjecting their seven-year-old daughter to inhumane treatment forcing the law enforcement authorities to intervene and save the child from the two.
It is alleged that the two have wilfully subjected their daughter to torture by slapping her on the hands, legs and thigh.
Budi and his wife have been detained at Karen Police Station and are expected to be arraigned in court tomorrow.
