A man who is alleged to have impregnated his 14 year old niece who is an orphan under his care has been charged with defilement.
The man was arraigned before Kibera Chief Magistrate Ann Mwangi and denied the charge of defiling his niece.
According to the charge sheet, PM defiled the young girl on diverse dates in November last year in Riruta satellite area.
He was also charged with an alternative count of indecent act with a minor contrary to the law.
Police reports claim that PM took advantage of the teenager who was left in his care as her uncle since she was an orphan.
He is alleged to have promised to take care of the girl as his own but he instead defiled her severally leading to her pregnancy.
The prosecution told court that the young teen is now in the hands of children officer who took her to a children rescue centre.
He was released on a Sh 300,000 bond and a surety of the same amount.
The case will be mentioned on February 12 for a pre-trial and further directions of the court.
