A man who masqueraded and lied to gullible Kenyans that he is an EACC investigator was on Friday charged with impersonation.
Ibrahim Wangari was arraigned before the Milimani Anti-corruption court where he denied the charge of impersonating an EACC officer.
It was alleged that on November 24, 2022, Wangari presented himself to Robert Kimani Wanjiku, the Director Kiwa Millers limited as an Investigator of EACC purportedly investigating corruption related cases against Kimani.
According to police report, Wangari is alleged to have demanded a Sh 1 Milliom bribe from Kimani in order to stop the investigations of corruption against him by the agency.
He was released on a Sh 500,000 bond or an alternative cash bail of Sh 100,000.
