Two Somali Minors Who are Accused of Desecrating Flag Granted Bail.

Two Somali minors who were captured on camera stepping on the Kenyan flag during a football match at Nyayo Stadium have been released on a cash bail of Ksh. 50,000 each.

The teenagers, aged 14 and 17, are facing charges of being in the country illegally, damaging a national symbol of unity the Kenyan flag and causing disturbance.

However, they did not take plea after the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP) informed the court that a probation inquiry report on the two was not yet ready.

The case will be mentioned again on October 8 for further directions once the report has been finalized.
