Njiru residents who risk being evicted from the Kirima land now want the DCI to investigate the authenticity of the Kirima title.
In a letter to DCI, the residents through Runway View Residents Association want the investigators to compare Kirima title and foreigner Bernardo De Madi title to ascertain which one is genuine.
Through lawyer Danstan Omari, the residents want the Njiru land investigated over what they believe is fraudulent activities by the Kirima’s.
Omari says his clients believe that the said land does not belong to the Kirima’s but rather the Italian foreigner.
The residents say they are apprehensive that over 600 families will be brought down by the. demolition and eviction.
“We would like your offices to investigate documents provided by our clients and compare them with documents provided by the family of the late Kirima with a view of identifying the genuine owner of the land,” Omari states.
On Monday the residents produced the succession grant issued to De Madi by the court in 2011 following the death of his father.
They have also attached the original title to the document presented to DCI for investigations.
