The US father whose son was abandoned in Kenya by ex-wife at her parents’ home in Kisii without his consent has now reunited with him after 8 months apart.
The family and friends from the father’s side could not hide their joy as the two finally reunited after months apart.
The grandfather was full of joy as he carried his grandson who has been taken from his maternal grandparents after court order.
The estranged couple had come to Kenya for holiday from the US before their separation early this year and the wife disappeared with the child and restricted the father from seeing him.
The father went back to the US leaving the child with the mother and later he realized that the wife had travelled back to the US alone leaving the son a US citizen as her parents’ home in Kisii.
He filed two cases in court one in the American court and the other in the Kenyan court.
The Kenyan court ordered both parents to travel back to Kenya and pick their son to take back to the US and later the US court granted custody to the man.
The father has come to pick his son to take back home as he is the parent with sole physical custody but the mother has been given visitation rights.
The father was represented in court by Lawyer Danstan Omari who claimed that his client was never told of the whereabouts of his son further saying the even wrote to the DCI to investigate.
