A Falcon Oil Limited employee has been arraigned in a Nairobi court over allegations involving the loss of nearly Ksh.14.9 million belonging to the petroleum company.

According to the prosecution, Ibrahim allegedly stole Ksh.14,890,157 between December 1, 2025, and July 31, 2026. The money is said to have come into his possession in the course of his employment at Falcon Oil Limited.

He also faces allegations linked to Ksh.300,000 which the prosecution claims he obtained from customers purchasing petroleum products from the company on April 25, 2026.

The prosecution told the court that Ibrahim allegedly knew, or had reason to believe, that the Ksh.300,000 represented proceeds connected to the alleged conspiracy.

The charges followed investigations into the suspected loss of funds at Falcon Oil Limited. Following the investigations, the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP) approved the decision to prosecute Ibrahim.

Ibrahim denied all the allegations and entered a plea of not guilty to each charge.

Magistrate Mutai granted him a Ksh.3 million surety bond, or alternatively Ksh.800,000 cash bail, subject to providing two contact persons.

The matter will return to court for mention on September 17, 2026.
