Timothy Nyende, a forensic document examiner testifying in the murder trial of Assad Khan, informed the court that not all forensic investigation materials had been fully disclosed during the proceedings.

Nyende also stated that investigators no longer require custody of Maxine Wahome’s phone, as all necessary data has already been extracted from the device.

During cross-examination by Advocate Steve Kimathi, Nyende clarified that while police investigators did not instruct him on how to prepare his report, they did guide him on what specific evidence to include—namely, evidence they deemed relevant to the case.

He further explained to Justice Lilian Mutende that the contents of his report were based entirely on the direction provided by investigators in relation to the murder case.

Nyende affirmed his understanding of what constitutes a doctored document.

However, he told the court he had no knowledge of allegations that the late Assad Khan had exhibited aggressive, violent, or insecure behavior.

Maxine Wahome faces murder charges related to the death of Khan, who succumbed to injuries on December 19, 2022. The injuries were allegedly sustained a week earlier, on December 12, at his residence in Kileleshwa.

The murder trial is active in Court.
