A Journalist with Pure Africa Radio was on Monday arraigned before court for allegedly preparing to commit a felony contrary to section 308 of the Penal Code after being arrested with a fake gun.
It was alleged that Hezron Marwa Mangenya, was found at Machakos Country Bus station in possession of an imitation of a firearm namely a fake pistol.
The prosecution alleges that on March 6, 2025, he was found in possession of the said imitation firearm in circumstances that indicated he was armed to commit robbery.
Mangenya was accused to have been allegedly found in possession of an imitation plastic pistol gun which is against the law.
He denied the charges before Chief Magistrate Lucas Onyina and was released on a bond of Sh 100,000 with an alternative cash bail of Sh 50,000.
