A man who attempted to defile a 7 year old girl in Kangemi has been charged with defilement.
Gideon Nyakori was arraigned before Kibera magistrate Margaret Murage and was charged with the offense of defilement.
It was alleged that on February 5 at Village Inn in Kangemi he attempted to defile the young girl.
Nyakori denied the charges and pleaded with the court to release him in reasonable bail terms.
The prosecution told court that even though they were not opposed to his release on bail, the court should issue tough bond terms to him.
He was released him on Sh 300,000 bond with a a surety of the same amount.
The court said the matter will be metioned on February 22 for a pre-trial.
