Mbithe’s claims were made in the context of the ongoing murder case involving the death of Dr. Victoria Mutiso. The allegations and statements made in court remain subject to scrutiny as the case proceeds. The court is expected to hear further arguments and evidence from both the prosecution and defence as investigations and legal proceedings continue.

Rose Mbithe, her daughter Angela Mulwa and son Chris Mulwa have been in police custody for weeks following their arrests over the alleged murder of Dr. Victoria Mutiso on July 29, 2026. The trio has been linked to the ongoing investigation as detectives continue to piece together circumstances surrounding Dr. Mutiso’s death.

Their arrests have been followed by a series of court proceedings, with the defence challenging the State’s attempts to keep them in custody as investigations continue. The case has also attracted attention following claims and counterclaims surrounding the circumstances of Dr. Mutiso’s death and evidence gathered by investigators.

The three are expected to remain in police custody until August 27, 2026, when they are expected to be formally charged with the murder of Dr. Victoria Mutiso.
