Two weeks ago, he was charged with two different cases of obtaining money from his clients in the pretext that he would import cars for them.

While making the application, Kairo told court that he had sometimes in 2024 secured a travel ticket to the USA for the said fundraiser and therefore it was necessary that his passport would be issued to him to facilitate his travel.

Kairo who is out on cash bail of Ksh 2M in cases he is accused of defrauding his clients over Ksh 5 million pretending he would facilitate purchasing motor vehicles for them, informed the court that he was not a flight risk and would be back once done with his business in the US.

Chief Magistrate Onyina directed the matter to be mentioned on January 31 to confirm the filing of documents that will lay the basis for the release of the passport.
