A Chinese national and two Kenyan employees were arraigned before a Nairobi court on Wednesday, charged with possession of trade counterfeit goods.
Liu Yiman, Peter Munge Mule, and George Mugendi were jointly charged with the offense of being in possession of counterfeit goods.
It was alleged that on April 30, 2024, as directors and employees of Choice International Forwarding Company, they were found in possession of counterfeit goods.
The goods included 9 cartons of Maxi Duchi Lorenzetti showerheads, each containing 28 pieces, valued at Sh 874,944.
They denied the charges before Magistrate Ndombi at Milimani Law Courts in Nairobi and pleaded with the court to grant them reasonable bail terms.
They were each released on a Sh 1 million bond with an alternative cash bail of Sh 300,000.
