A man who has been masquerading as a big shot lawyer for years while using a genuine law firm’s letterhead to the extent of even representing clients in court has been busted.
Orioki Kenyeru Co. Advocates has written a demand letter to Antony Otiende seeking for an apology and further to cease using their letter heads.
Through Lawyer Danstan Omari, the law firm has accused Otiende of presenting himself as co-counsel and masquerading as a masquerading as a lawyer when he was not.
In the letter, Omari says that LSK wrote a show cause letter to Orioki’ law firm asking why they were working with the fake lawyer and that’s how they got to know about Otiende.
Omari further wants the said fake lawyer to account all monies that he received from clients while pretending to work for Orioki’s law firm.
He is also required to issue a public notice disassociating himself with the Orioko’s law firm which should be published in two major local dailies.
He has 48 hours to do so failure to which they will institute criminal proceedings against him and will also publish his photo in seven newspapers to warn all and sundry to beware of h8is conduct.
