The Judiciary has now called upon the Law Society of Kenya to take disciplinary action against Lawyer Ahmednassir Abdullahi for his continued attacks of the supreme court judges on social media without evidence.

In a presser by the Judiciary spokesperson Paul Ndemo, the Judiciary says its unfortunate that Ahmednassir has continued to consistently disparage the Judiciary, its leadership and Judges with relentless but baseless claims of corruption without viable evidence.

Ndemo has called on the leadership of LSK and the Senior Counsel Bar to take such measures as are within their respective mandates to bring discipline and order among its members and specifically SC Ahmednasir.

“We therefore reiterate our call to the Director of Public Prosecutions to take appropriate action within his constitutional mandate. We also urge the leadership of the Law Society of Kenya,” Ndemo said.

He says only then shall the Bar and Bench retain the re the respect and trust that they ought to have for each other and from the public at large.

Ndemo says Ahmednasir has resorted to a campaign to disparage the Judiciary, its leadership and senior judges without making any formal complaint, leading them to conclude that he does not have any credible information and is simply besmirching the reputation of the Judiciary and its leadership for his own undisclosed ends.

“This pattern of conduct is not only unbecoming and unprofessional of an advocate with the status of senior counsel, but potentially serves to erode public confidence in the Judiciary and eventually undermine the rule of law which is one of the ideals upon which our constitutional democracy is founded,” he said.

They want him investigated since he has made sensational allegations of judicial corruption but he has declined to name the concerned Judges, nor to table a formal complaint with evidence to the Judicial Service Commission or other law enforcement agencies.
