Pastor Ezekiel Odero is finally off the hook in the criminal case after the court closed the miscellaneous file that has been pending before the Shanzu Law Courts since March.
The court closed the file following an application by Odero’s defense lawyer on Monday saying it was an abuse of the court process.
On Tuesday, Senior Principal Magistrate Joe Omido closed the file officially.
The DPP did not oppose to closing the file saying they were in receipt of the investigation file which stated that the investigations were complete.
Speaking after the ruling, Lawyer Danstan Omari said it’s been a long journey but finally the end had come after months of tribulations.
Present during the ruling were lawyers Cliff Ombeta and Samson Nyaberi.
