West Pokot County Assembly Speaker Fredrick Kaptui Plimo and two other individuals have denied charges linked to the alleged loss of Sh260 million from a Sacco between 2018 and 2025.
Plimo appeared before the court alongside Kodich Ward MCA Paul Lokitari Ywapamoi and Francis Atodosia, where they pleaded not guilty to the charges brought against them by the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP).
The court released each of the three accused on a bond of Sh12 million or an alternative cash bail of Sh6 million. The case will be mentioned on November 16, 2026, for further directions.
The three are among nine individuals facing various charges over the alleged loss of Sh260,008,100 from the Sacco. The charges include conspiracy to defraud, stealing by servant, cheating, unauthorised interference with a computer system and abuse of office.
